This question was sent in by an attendee of BREAKINGWATERS previous Expert-in-Conversation session, and I thought it was a perfect idea for the next session.

To help answer it, we have organised Mikhail Zverev, Fund Manager on the Amati Global Innovation Fund. The fund’s remit is to look for opportunities on the edge of innovation, across digitisation, photonics, AI Machine Vision, Defence Technology, Multinomics, robotics, and many more.

Crucially, the team does not invest in science projects, only proven business models.

Mikhail was previously Head of Global Equities at Standard Life Investments / Aberdeen and Aviva Investors before setting out in 2022 to set up the Amati Global Innovation Fund, alongside his co-PM Graeme Bencke.
