Why BREAKINGWATERS?

Building wealth is a must in this world, and global equities are, in my opinion, the best place to do it - but you need understanding, frameworks, and a global equity deputy to guide you and keep you up to speed. BREAKINGWATERS is that deputy.

With two decades of experience, most recently overseeing a global equity framework at one of the world’s largest banks, I created BREAKINGWATERS to open the door to professional grade equity content for anyone who wants it.

It is designed to be your Global Equity Deputy, serving you with the information, education, and insights you need to make sense of global equity markets.

Why the Name?

I get a lot of questions on this.

I grew up, in, on and around water.

My hometown, Galway, is almost more water than earth. It sits on Galway Bay, and has the mighty Corrib river running through it. The Venice of the west. On the Corrib I rowed. Hours and days, up and down its ways. After training we’d hop in a launch and explore every inch of water along and across it. In the summers, after hours swimming in the river we would cycle across town to the sea to the diving boards for many more hours in the water. Pure joy. Pure life.

When I moved away, I stayed by the water, the Lagan, the Liffey, Edinburgh canal, the Firth of Forth and then Sydney, the ultimate water city. There I would commute by boat, I would swim, surf, snorkel, row. We had our first child (broken water indeed!). Then a second. Then on to Brighton and new waters (stones on the beach?!). Our third and fourth children were born by the waters of Brighton.

Breaking water has defined my life, but life has also taught me that amidst breaking waters, opportunities for growth, joy and success lie, the future resides in BREAKINGWATERS.
